From early December through April, strong and steady kicks across the westerm en of Lake Arenal providing windsufers and kiteboarders with primary attraction and activity offered up by this region.
Kiiteboarding is an adventure sport, similar to windsurfing, except you are tethered by a harness to a large kite, which you can steer via some ontrol lines. The sport is known for the long and high jumps achieved by experienced pratitioners.
If you want to try your hand at either winsurfing or kiteboarders you can rent equipment at Tilawa Windsurfing Center, which has it facilities on one of the lake´few accessible beaches. Boards rent for around $75 to $95 per day, and lesson are also available.
Other thing to do at Arenal Lake is fishing and you can catch Guapote or sea bass.
