Hotel Description

This small lodge is the joint for serious windsurfers. The rooms are housed in a long, low lodge set on stilts. Walls and floors are made of hardwood, and there are bamboo railingsalong the veranda, where you will find sling chairs to relax in after a day of windsurfing and wind chimes that let you know when the breezes are kicking up. The rooms themselves are midsize; each has one double bed and a bunk bed, as well as a small tiled bathroom. The independent bungalows, wiich are farther up the hill, offer more privacy and space and have small sculpted bathtubs in larger bathrooms. It is a long walk down to the Arenal lake, so car is recommended. Although windsurfing in Arenal Lake is the main activity here, the lodgealso offers mountain biking trips and horseback and hiking adventures around the Arenal lake and Nuevo Arenal. La Fortuna and Arenal Volcano is about one hour away from Rock River Lodge
